What yacht charter are you looking for?

Ibiza Yacht Charter

An Ibiza yacht charter gives you the version of the island most people never get. You are not stuck choosing between beach clubs, quiet swim stops, Formentera lunches, sunset anchorages, shopping in Ibiza Town, or a proper night out. You can do all of it in one trip, and you can do it without wasting time in traffic, fighting for reservations, or committing to one mood all week.

We recommend Ibiza for clients who want range. In one charter, you can spend the morning anchored off Espalmador or Illetas in clear, shallow water, head to a beach club for lunch, use jet skis and water toys in the afternoon, then return to the yacht for cocktails, a private dinner, or a night out in Ibiza Town. That mix is exactly why Ibiza works so well by yacht. It is not just a party destination. It is one of the most flexible luxury yacht charter areas in the Mediterranean.

The Ultimate 7-Day Ibiza Yacht Charter Itinerary

Most 7-day Ibiza yacht charters combine Ibiza and Formentera, and we recommend that for a reason. It gives you the full contrast of the destination: lighter, clearer-water days around Formentera and Espalmador first, then more energy, west coast sunsets, beach clubs and final nights around Ibiza Town. That balance is what makes Ibiza such a strong charter area.

  • Espalmador for calm water, privacy and the first proper swim of the trip
  • Illetes for the classic Formentera lunch scene and easy beach time
  • Cala Saona for a quieter afternoon and a softer, more private mood
  • Cala Conta for west coast swimming and one of the best sunset setups
  • Cala Jondal for lunch, people-watching and beach club energy
  • Es Vedrà for the iconic evening cruise that still delivers in real life
  • Ibiza Town for shopping, dinner and the final big night

What Life Onboard a Yacht in Ibiza Looks Like

This is the part people usually underestimate. The yacht is not just how you get around. It is what makes Ibiza feel easy. We see the best charters work because clients can switch gears fast: quiet breakfast at anchor, toys in the water by midday, lunch ashore or onboard, sunset drinks on deck, then out for dinner or a club if the night is worth it. That flexibility is the real luxury.

  • We recommend breakfast at anchor before the dayboats arrive
  • We use Formentera mornings for swimming, paddleboards and seabobs
  • We keep toy-heavy afternoons for bays where guests can actually use them properly
  • We plan lunch ashore or onboard based on the mood and the anchorage
  • We build in wellness time with space for yoga, massage or just switching off
  • We prefer sunset drinks on deck over fighting for the same land-based view as everyone else
  • We time dinner and nightlife around what is actually worth doing that night

Essential Ibiza Charter Information

Even before the beginning of Covid, Ibiza was on a sharp increase as the ultra-luxury yacht charter destination of the Mediterranean. As the South of France and Monaco become increasingly hostile towards luxury yacht charters (new Monaco government regulations starting in 2023 introduce strict KYC protocol, on top of above-standard VAT), Spain remains friendly and hungry for more high value clients.

The Balearic government is strongly pushing for high end, luxury tourism – at the expense of the huge all inclusive resorts introduced by Franco in the 60’s. Note that Balearic Islands are an autonomous area not on the same page with Madrid about where should the tourism taxes stay/leave. This issue is complicated by the fact that most marinas in Ibiza/Mallorca are owned by people with historical ties to the Spanish royal family, as Spain is still a kingdom.

Ibiza is a colorful place, it shows on the charter yachts as well - best stereos, best lights and best crews to accommodate lively entertainment in the Mediterranean

Ibiza Charter – What You Need To Know Now

  • don’t forget – the Ibiza clubs take turns on who’s hosting “THE” party, don’t plan without consulting someone on the ground. Going to Pacha or Amnesia on a wrong night can just kill your day.
  • note that the Spanish prefer cooperation with local brokers, pick a broker in the Baleares, such as DMA Yachting.
  • Beaches – Cala Salada, Cala Conta and Ses Salines are nice – what you really want is a private cove you can play music in the evening without other boats doing the same thing (after you turn it off). This is important, Spanish parties go until 9am, which is very well documented in this video by Sak Noel
  • Scenery – while exploring hedonism to the fullest, take a moment to contemplate as well. Surprisingly, Ibiza IS a location where you can experience life changing sunsets. Please don’t be so lame to propose in Cafe del Mar, you’ll probably be brought a bottle of Dom Perignon 5 seconds after the table next to you did that, true story. Do so on a private yacht, with a private sunset.
